Welcome to Linden Wood. Where curious kids spend their days exploring, discovering, and growing on 11 acres of private woodland that belongs entirely to them. Rain or shine, outside is where the real learning happens.
Our Story
It started with our two boys.
We spent two years traveling the country with our two boys. What we watched happen to them outside changed everything we believed about how kids learn. Curious, confident, and more themselves than they'd ever been indoors.
We came back to Michigan convinced that nature isn't a supplement to childhood. It's the foundation of it.
Gabrielle, our founder and lead educator, has spent her entire career in early childhood education. As a teacher, a preschool director, and an in-home preschool owner, she has seen what traditional settings do well and what they miss. Linden Wood is where that experience and that conviction became a school.
Most nature schools borrow their space. We own ours. 11 acres of private woodland that belongs entirely to the kids who explore it every day. We broke ground this year and we're opening January 2027. This is what we're dreaming up.

Nature School
Outside every day, in every season. A nature-based program designed around how young children actually learn, on land that belongs entirely to them.
Ages 3 to 6
Morning & afternoon sessions September-June
3 hours per session, part and full time available
Small groups on 11 acres of private land
Enrollment opens fall 2026 for winter 2027
Summer Camp
Five days a week, all summer long. New theme every week, special programming throughout, and Friday family hikes on the Discovery Trail.
Ages 3 to 6
Mid-June through mid-August
Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
12 spots per week
Enrollment for summer 2027 opens early 2027
